1. Wildlife Discovery Center
Explore the beauty of nature amidst the Lake Forest suburbs. The Wildlife Discovery Center considers itself a "living natural history museum" and celebrates the region's native creatures. Kids (and adults) of all ages can learn about the importance of conservation, explore nature trails and come face-to-face with reptiles, birds, and mammals.

2. Deerpath Park's Kids Castle
Let kids get their energy out at this massive wooden playground. 'Kids Castle' has all of your typical playground staples (tire swing, slides, tunnels and towers), but on a much larger scale. There's plenty of room for kids to explore and roam free!

3. Lambs Farm
Lambs Farm is a non-profit organization, dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities. Families can enjoy a meal at the farm restaurant, check out the toys and treats in the shop and take advantage of the properties' numerous kid-friendly events. Families can also venture through the farm to see the many animals that call it home.

4. Glacier Ice Arena
Make the Glacier Ice Arena a 'must' this winter! This indoor arena hosts frequent public skating days, with weekly freestyle skate times. This local facility is a popular birthday party hotspot, with the availability for two-and-a-half hour private room rentals and tons of food and gourmet goodie bags for guests!

5. The Blast Zone
Another 'party and play' favorite is Vernon Hill's kid-centered entertainment venue, The Blast Zone. Make it a spontaneous outing with the zone's open play time or book a party in advance. The venue includes a totally cool Turbo Tub Speedway (think real life Mario Kart!), the Monkey Tower for climbing, giant inflatable slides and exciting interactive games.

6. Aloha Falls Mini Golf
Grab the entire family and venture to the tropics for Aloha Falls Mini Golf. Choose from two Hawaiian-themed golf courses, play your favorite arcade games at the Retro Arcade and grab a snack from the course's cafe & bar. Aloha Falls is currently closed for the winter season but will reopen in April. Mark this one on your calendar!

7. C and A Robot Factory
For kids who have ever dreamt of building their own robot...now is their chance! C & A Robot Factory lets creative minds built their very own inventions, using art supplies, LEGO's and more. The Robot Factory also offers party space, summer camps and cool events geared for kids.
